Alcohol permits move forward for Alpharetta Arts Center, other city venues

The Alpharetta City Council gave first-reading approval on Monday, July 13, to an ordinance amendment that would allow alcohol service at the Alpharetta Arts Center and other city-owned facilities under a new permit system, with a second reading still required before the change takes effect.

Milton High's Jake James wins national Jimmy Award on Broadway stage

Milton High School student Jake James won the Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre on June 22, earning a $25,000 scholarship and becoming only the third Georgia student to win the national high school theater honor.
