Hero Boy Sandwich Co. plans to open a second location at Chastain Square, the Publix-anchored shopping center at 4279 Roswell Road.
The Italian sandwich and cheesesteak shop is targeting an early 2027 opening for the 1,500-square-foot space, co-owner Greg Abel told What Now Atlanta. The publication identified the address as Suite 106.
The original restaurant operates at 1055 Mansell Road, Unit 100.
A neighborhood connection
Abel launched Hero Boy with Brad Kranz and Mike Giovine in 2023. Giovine also owns Wing Factory, which has a restaurant at Chastain Square.
Abel told What Now Atlanta that the partners’ connections to the neighborhood, along with encouragement from customers who visited the Mansell Road shop, helped steer them toward the center. The lease was signed in October.
Plans call for subway tile, a diner-inspired interior and an open layout that lets customers watch their sandwiches being prepared. Abel said the partners hope to add locations across metro Atlanta over the next three to five years, expanding gradually.
What’s on the menu
Hero Boy serves Italian sandwiches and cheesesteaks on seeded Italian rolls. The restaurant says it uses Boar’s Head meats and cheeses sliced to order, according to its website.
The website lists the Mansell Road location with an Alpharetta mailing address, while What Now Atlanta describes it as Roswell.
Opening details
An exact opening date has not been announced.
The shopping center’s landlord directory confirms Publix and Wing Factory among the tenants. Its site-plan space numbers do not independently establish Hero Boy’s postal suite number.
