Alpharetta Raiders head football coach Danny Carlisle has been named Coach of the Month in his first season leading the program.

The Alpharetta football program announced the honor on X on Wednesday, Nov. 4, praising Carlisle for "the leadership, dedication, and commitment you bring to our program every day." The post tagged Northside Hospital, suggesting the health system's involvement in the award, though the program did not detail the selection process.

Carlisle took over the Raiders this fall after Brian Landis coached the team during the 2025-26 season, according to MaxPreps.

The Raiders sit at 3-6 overall and 2-3 in GHSA Region 7-AAAAAA, placing fourth in the region. Alpharetta snapped a two-game losing streak with a 27-3 road win at Johns Creek on Oct. 30, giving the team a one-game winning streak heading into its finale.

The recognition comes as the Raiders prepare for their last game of the regular season. Alpharetta hosts Lanier in a region matchup at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6.

Carlisle's squad opened the year with losses to Kennesaw Mountain, Denmark and Centennial before beating Duluth 17-16 on Sept. 11. A 50-0 loss at Gainesville on Sept. 25 was followed by a 33-0 shutout of Riverwood on Oct. 2. Losses to Roswell and Milton came next before the Johns Creek win closed out October.

Through nine games, Alpharetta has scored 168 points and allowed 266, according to MaxPreps.

The Lanier game closes out the Raiders' regular-season schedule.
