Spiced Right Ribhouse served its last plate of smoked ribs at Six Bridges Brewing's Crabapple taproom on Monday, July 27, ending a four-year partnership that paired barbecue with locally brewed pints on Heritage Walk in Milton.

The family-run barbecue restaurant, which has operated in the Roswell area for about 20 years, will not return to the Crabapple space. Six Bridges Brewing plans a kitchen renovation and intends to bring in a new food tenant, though no name or timeline has been disclosed.

"We are not ready to announce yet, but we will be posting updates on our socials," AmyNoelle Haygood, general manager of Six Bridges Crabapple, told The Roundabout newsletter on Tuesday, July 28.

The closure leaves the 50-seat restaurant space inside the taproom at 1850 Heritage Walk without a kitchen operator for the first time since the brewery opened its Crabapple location. Six Bridges, founded by father-and-son team Charles and Clay Gridley, announced the Crabapple expansion in April 2022 with Spiced Right as its built-in food partner. The two businesses held a grand opening ribbon cutting in April 2023, welcomed by the City of Milton and the Crabapple Market.

Spiced Right said in its closing announcement that it was grateful for the partnership and community support over the years. The Roswell location remains open.

The restaurant's Roswell home is at 635 S. Atlanta St.

For Crabapple regulars, the gap may be temporary. Six Bridges said the kitchen will undergo a brief renovation before the next tenant moves in. Haygood did not specify whether the new concept would be another barbecue operation or a different cuisine.
