The Alpharetta Raiders named Noah Glover, Evan Mackey and August Kucek among their Week 1 Players of the Week on Monday, Aug. 24, recognizing standout efforts even as the team looks to bounce back from a 37-23 loss at Kennesaw Mountain.

Glover earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Mackey took the Special Teams award and Kucek was named Scout Team Player of the Week. The offensive line as a unit received the Offensive Player of the Week nod, a collective recognition rather than an individual honor.

The program announced the awards on its official account alongside the hashtags #AllinAllRaider and #BurnTheShips, mantras that have defined head coach Danny Carlisle's first season leading the program.

No individual statistics were released with the awards. The Raiders trailed Kennesaw Mountain just 10-9 at halftime on Friday, Aug. 21, before the Mustangs pulled away in the second half to hand Carlisle's squad a 37-23 defeat in a game that had appeared competitive through two quarters.

Alpharetta opened the 2026 campaign 0-2 after also falling at Heritage in a Week 0 game on Aug. 7. After that loss, Carlisle's message was to own mistakes, work hard and trust the process, according to a recap posted Aug. 8 by AHS supporter Michael Scheifflee on X.

Home opener brings Blackout theme

The Raiders now turn their attention to their first home game of the season. Denmark visits Alpharetta for the Week 2 matchup the program has dubbed a Blackout game, encouraging fans to wear black.

Both teams are winless. Denmark enters at 0-1 after a 36-7 loss to Sequoyah on Aug. 21.

For Carlisle's squad, the home opener offers a chance to notch the first win of his tenure in front of the Alpharetta faithful. Kickoff time has not been confirmed.
