Milton High School senior wide receiver Landon Cross committed to play college football at Beloit College in Wisconsin.

Cross, who wears No. 23 for the Eagles, announced his decision Monday, Oct. 5, on X. "After conversations with my family I will be committing to Beloit college!" he wrote. "Thank you to my coaches and coach Smith for believing in me … And thank you to my family for always being there to support me."

The Milton High School Football account amplified the news the same day, tagging Cross's commitment under the #Mpire26 hashtag, the Eagles' label for their 2026 recruiting class.

Cross is listed at 5-foot-10, 150 pounds on the MaxPreps roster and plays both wide receiver and safety. His X profile lists a 3.5 GPA and a 4.57-second 40-yard dash.

He joins a storied program at Milton. The Eagles, coached by Ben Reaves, are three-time state champions, winning titles in 2018, 2023 and 2024. Milton went 8-4 in 2025, scoring 379 points and allowing 170.

Beloit College competes in NCAA Division III as a member of the Midwest Conference. The Buccaneers play home games at the Strong Stadium Complex in Beloit, Wisconsin, and entered the week with a 1-3 overall record. Cross will make the move from one of Georgia's top programs to a small-college conference in the upper Midwest.

That is a big jump geographically.

Milton still has four regular-season games remaining. The Eagles host Alpharetta on Friday, Oct. 16, then travel to Gainesville on Friday, Oct. 23. They visit Riverwood on Friday, Oct. 30, and close the regular season at home against Roswell on Friday, Nov. 6.
