Milton's Crabapple Fest returns Oct. 3 with a new live music stage, more than 100 vendors and a full day of activities along Crabapple Road in downtown Milton.

The City of Milton expects 20,000 to 30,000 people at the street festival, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival footprint stretches from the roundabout at Crabapple Road and Heritage Walk to the intersection of Birmingham Highway and Broadwell Road, according to the city's event page.

For the first time, a temporary stage will anchor the southeastern end of the route near the Heritage Walk/Crabapple Chase Drive roundabout. Three acts are booked: The Hits Squad from 10 a.m. to noon, Pick-up Line from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and Audio Vault from 3 to 5 p.m. HOME Luxury Real Estate is sponsoring the stage, the city announced Sept. 14.

More than 100 vendors will sell clothing, accessories and home goods along the road. A Children's Entrepreneur Market behind the Green at Crabapple Market will feature young people selling their own products. Two food truck hubs round out the eating options, and Crabapple Fest-themed merchandise will be available near the center of the festival.

The KidZone, sponsored by Milton Montessori School, includes three carnival rides, two obstacle courses, a toddler playland and a combo bounce-and-slide inflatable. It sits in a large open space behind the Green, next to the Children's Entrepreneur Market.

Crabapple Market is the festival's premier sponsor, with signature sponsors including the Bonnie Smith Group, Lambert Carts, Outback Deck, Pella Windows and Doors, Quality Craftsmen and the Williams & Williams Law Firm.
