Four national touring acts will play Alpharetta's Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in August, giving the 12,000-seat venue on Encore Parkway one of its busiest months of the summer.

Mötley Crüe kicks off the run on Wednesday, August 12, bringing "The Return of the Carnival of Sins" tour with special guests Extreme and Tesla. The Alpharetta date is the 12th stop on a 33-city Live Nation-produced trek celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band's original 2005–2006 "Carnival of Sins" tour and Mötley Crüe's 45th anniversary as a group.

Through the Mötley Crüe Giveback Initiative, $1 from every ticket sold on the tour goes to ASAP!, the After School Arts Program.

"This new show is for the Crüeheads who've been with us through it all and for the new Crüeheads who didn't get to experience Carnival of Sins last time around," the band said in a November 2025 statement announcing the tour.

The tour launched Friday, July 17, near Pittsburgh and has been delivering a 17-song set that includes "Kickstart My Heart," "Dr. Feelgood," "Home Sweet Home," and "Shout at the Devil," according to concert reviews from the opening dates.

Jack Johnson's SURFILMUSIC Tour plays Friday, August 21. Two days later, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson take the stage on Sunday, August 23, with The Hu and Orgy as support, according to the venue's official schedule. Manson is touring behind a new single, "Front Toward Enemy," from his upcoming album "One Assassination Under God — Chapter 2."

The month closes with 311 and Dirty Heads on their "So Glad You Made It" tour on Friday, August 28.

The amphitheatre at 2200 Encore Parkway opened in May 2008 and hosted 35 concerts in 2025, according to the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. The CVB, which markets the city under its "Alpharetta Music City" brand, counts 31 hotels within a five-mile drive of the venue. The fall schedule continues with Brooks & Dunn on Friday, September 11, and Tim McGraw on Thursday, September 24.
