The meeting begins with a closed executive session at 5 p.m., followed by a called board meeting at 6 p.m. The session replaces the board's previously scheduled July 16 meeting at the North Learning Center in Sandy Springs, which was cancelled.

Multiple FCS school homepages also describe Thursday's session as millage rate hearing No. 1, though the most recent updates to some school sites list only the executive session and called meeting. The district posts agendas on its Simbli board portal, where families can check for specific agenda items.

The 6 p.m. open session will be streamed live on the Fulton County Schools homepage. Recordings are available within 48 hours at the district's board videos page, according to FCS school websites.

The executive session is closed. The board is not required to disclose its subject in advance under Georgia's Open Meetings Act (O.C.G.A. § 50-14-3), which limits closed sessions to topics such as personnel, pending litigation, or real estate.

For families at Alpharetta High School, Milton High School, Cambridge High School, and other Fulton County campuses, the board's next scheduled session is a work session on Tuesday, August 11, at the FCS North Learning Center, 450 Northridge Parkway, Sandy Springs. A regular board meeting follows on Thursday, August 20, back at the South Learning Center, 4025 Flat Shoals Road, Union City.
