EōS Fitness will fill the long-vacant anchor space at North Point Commons in Alpharetta.

The gym chain signed a long-term lease for 38,419 square feet at 965 North Point Drive, an EōS representative confirmed Sept. 3, Appen Media reported. The company's website lists a 2027 opening target.

The space sat empty after JoAnn Fabrics, the previous anchor tenant, closed the location in 2025. JoAnn filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the second time in January 2025 and shut down all of its roughly 800 U.S. stores after selling its assets to a liquidator, according to CBS News. All 18 Georgia JoAnn locations closed as part of the wind-down.

EōS Fitness, which has more than 225 locations open or in development nationwide, markets memberships starting at $9.99 a month. The company already operates Georgia gyms in Roswell and Austell.

The North Point Commons lease fits a broader expansion push. In the first quarter of 2026, EōS acquired 14 gyms across four states, opened three new locations and signed 11 additional leases, according to a Club Solutions report. The company also reinvested $10 million into existing clubs during that period and has said it aims to reach 250 locations by 2030.

A second Alpharetta-area EōS gym, at 700 McFarland Parkway near the Alpharetta-Milton border, is planned to open in 2028, according to the company's website.
