A 20-year-old Brookhaven man was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta on July 23 after threatening venue staff, fleeing shirtless into the woods and then trying to sneak back in through the backstage entrance.
Alpharetta police officers were working at the amphitheater's west gate that evening when staff alerted them that the man was threatening employees, according to Appen Media, citing a police report.
Officers told the man to leave. He did not stay gone.
Instead, he returned to antagonize staff members, according to the report. When additional officers arrived, the man, who was no longer wearing a shirt, ran into a nearby wooded area.
He was caught attempting to reenter the venue through the backstage entrance. Officers ticketed him for disorderly conduct and transported him to the Alpharetta Detention Center.
The incident took place the same night Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner were scheduled to perform at the venue as part of their Double Trouble Tour. Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, located at 2200 Encore Parkway, can hold up to 12,500 guests and hosted 35 concerts in 2025. The outdoor venue opened in 2008 and is operated by Live Nation, making it one of the busiest concert destinations in the Atlanta metro area.
Alpharetta police did not name the suspect, citing a policy against publicly identifying individuals who are ticketed but not formally charged.
