A 10-foot-wide path will connect the Fulton County Health and Human Services – North building to the Big Creek Greenway in Alpharetta.
True North 400, the self-taxing community improvement district along the Georgia 400 corridor, is investing $20,000 in the trail connection. Construction was scheduled to begin in August, according to the district's project page. A completion date has not been announced.
The City of Alpharetta is a partner on the project, which True North 400 categorizes as a "Quick Win." The multi-use path will run from the county facility at 4700 North Point Pkwy. to the greenway, a popular recreational corridor in North Fulton.
The health building itself is new to the area. Fulton County held a ribbon-cutting on April 16 for the $25 million facility, which consolidated several county services under one roof. The building houses the Fulton County Board of Health, Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Senior Services and a Recovery Treatment Court, according to Fulton County. The county purchased the former Comcast call center and its 24-acre site in 2019 and began renovations in 2024.
Kristin Winzeler, executive director of True North 400, has described the broader challenge of greenway access in the corridor. In a February 2026 Georgia Trend article about a separate greenway-improvement effort, Winzeler said the Big Creek Greenway "is one of our most popular amenities, and that amenity in that area is somewhat hidden … behind some trees, and there's an odd small road to get there."
True North 400, formerly the North Fulton Community Improvement District, was formed in 2003 by commercial property owners. Its district stretches from Mansell Road north to McGinnis Ferry Road, and the organization partners with Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell on infrastructure projects. Since its founding, the CID has leveraged more than $30 million to advance over $217 million in transportation and infrastructure work.
The 4700 Trail Connection is the latest in a series of Quick Win projects from the district. Previous efforts have included upgraded MARTA bus shelters, pedestrian improvements at North Point Parkway and Windward Parkway, and an Alpha Loop connection between Lakeview Parkway and Morrison Parkway.
True North 400 has posted a request for design services for the project on its website.
