Alpharetta City Council will not meet Monday, Oct. 26, after the city scrapped the session because too few items remained on the agenda.
The city announced the cancellation Friday, Oct. 23, on X, citing "agenda changes." Whatever business was still pending will move to the next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, Nov. 16, the city said.
Councilmember John Hipes shared a fuller explanation on his Facebook page. Hipes said the meeting was canceled "due to changes to the agenda that leave only two remaining items."
The city did not publicly identify those two items.
The cancellation creates a three-week gap between council sessions. Residents tracking zoning cases, development proposals or other pending city business will wait until mid-November for the next opportunity to see council action or speak during a public hearing.
Alpharetta's council typically meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. The Oct. 26 session would have been the month's second regular meeting.
Residents who want to follow the rescheduled agenda can check the city's online meeting portal through alpharetta.ga.us once the Nov. 16 packet is posted.
